Tennis

OVERVIEW

A very active tennis section caters for all players; from first team league players who compete in the Bundes League to the week day social group. Social tennis is played every Saturday afternoon from 2 p.m. with tea at 16h00. You are welcome to arrive and play. An organiser will arrange sets to suit your standard of play.

Coaching is provided by Naas Ferreira and his assistants for the young (from 7 years old) on a Saturday morning to scholars and students, the rusty (who played a few years ago and want to get up to speed) to the new player who wants to try his hand at a very rewarding and social sport.

We have close links with King Edward VII school, our coaches providing their services to the up and coming players. We also provide coaching to some of the schools in the area, where previously disadvantaged children love the game and only need a racquet and pair of shoes to become the next Arthur Ashe!

Championships are played from the end of January to the middle of March.
