Old Eds is a society with several sporting clubs operating on and from its premises. The Society membership fee is an annual fee payable by all members of Old Eds, and no person may become a member, or participate in the activities, of any of the Society’s clubs without first becoming a member of the Old Edwardian Society. An Old Eds member, however, is free to join as many of the Society’s clubs as he or she wishes (subject to paying the fee determined and charged by each club).
The Society fee goes towards covering the rates, taxes, and upkeep of Old Eds’ property and clubhouse, whereas the fees charged by each club cover league fees, coaching fees, etc.
In addition to being able to join as many sub-clubs as one would like, members of the Society enjoy the following perks and benefits:
Social membership:
Those persons who wish to enjoy all of the above benefits, but who are not necessarily interested in a sporting membership, may become social members of the Society. Social members are also entitled to enjoy the Society’s fields for their personal use.
Virgin Active membership:
Old Eds members who are also students or teachers at KES/KEPS and St Mary’s are entitled to significant discounts on membership of the Virgin Active gym located on our premises.
